Actor Al Pacino targeted by US Internal Revenue Service

43600.jpegActor Al Pacino is now the target of US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) for his alleged failure to pay taxes. The IRS has filed tax charges against the A-list actor for reportedly not paying an estimated amount of $188,283.50 of taxes.

The amount said TMZ is the grand total for two-years of unpaid taxes. The actor, according to the IRS did not pay $169,143.06 in 2008 and $19,140.44 in 2009.

But don't jump the gun on the "Scent of a Woman" actor. His representative told TMZ that the actor did not cheat on the US government. The problem stemmed from the failure of Pacino's business manager, Kenneth Star to pay the necessary taxes, according to International Business Times.

Pacino's rep claims he never meant to stiff the USA, and blames Pacino's former business manager Kenneth Starr (not the Monica Lewinsky investigator, another Kenneth Starr.) Starr spent seven years in prison for stealing millions from Hollywood's hottest bank accounts, Boston Herald reports.
