Justin Bieber wins four titles at American Music Awards

42427.jpegJustin Bieber, 16, cleaned up at the 2010 American Music Awards, taking home his fair share of 4 titles. It was a night to celebrate the musical arts, marked with flashy performances and the very first time that the Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block took to the stage as one huge group.

Taylor Swift graced the stage with her performance, while the Black Eyed Peas came to rock the house, according to New York Daily News.

Justin Bieber best-selling rapper who has been under the limelight of the popular music scene over the past two years, was chosen as the Artist of the Year, Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist, Favorite Pop/Rock Album and Breakthrough Artist of the Year. He beat a list which featured Eminem, Usher, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga.

Nominated for four awards, the handsome, adolesent-voiced Canadian teenage boy became the top winner at the event with his latest album "My World 2.0," Xinhua reports.

During his acceptance speech, he graciously shared the moment with Usher, who helped sign the young singer and has helped guide him as his mentor (an appropriate match, as Usher knows a thing or two about being a teen star).

Bieber gave several shout-outs throughout the night, including one to legendary late pop sensation Michael Jackson, MTV.com reports.
