Hollywood star Matt Damon and Canadian pop singer Celine Dion welcomed new babies to their families this week.
42-year-old Celine Dion gave birth to healthy, premature twin boys over the weekend. The singer underwent six rounds of in vitro fertilization. The names of the babies haven't been released. Dion also has a 9-year-old son with husband Renee Angelil, NECN reports.
One baby reportedly weighed 5 pounds, 10 ounces; the other 5 pounds, 4 ounces. Dion's husband, Rene Angelil, expressed his joy at a press conference a few hours after the births. He said he cut the umbilical cords and that it was great feeling.
Dion's doctor, Ronald Ackerman, said that the delivery, done via C-section, went as expected, but that the twins will spend the next few days in an incubator because they were born premature. He also added that both baby boys were born with a good amount of hair, CBS News informs.
According to Daily Mail, Hollywood actor Matt Damon and his wife Luciana Barroso welcomed their fourth little girl, Stella Zavala Damon in New York on Wednesday.
'Mum and baby are both healthy,' Damon's spokesman said. 'The whole family is thrilled.'
Damon, who turned 40 earlier this month, and Luciana, 35, married in 2005.
They have already have three daughters together - four-year-old Isabella, two-year-old Gia and 11-year-old Alexis, from Luciana's previous marriage.
