Robbie Williams Ties the Knot with US Model and Actress

Robbie Williams, the 36-year-old British pop singer, tied-the-knot with Ayda Field, the 31-year-old US model and actress, at their home in Los Angeles on Saturday with a handful of friends and family as witnesses. The ceremony had tight security, while the couple is said to have made an agreement with Hello! Magazine.

The guests were shuttled to the home in black buses with tinted windows. It’s been reported that nearly none of them knew where the wedding was going to be held until shortly before the ceremony. A friend said that the cards they were sent 2 weeks ago only said that they were throwing a party in celebration of Robbie’s 20-year career. It didn’t leak until a few days ago that it was going to be a wedding, they added, Merchant News reports.

The singer had been expected to ferry guests to an island off the California coast for the nuptials.

Instead, he turned much closer to home at 5pm local time (midnight GMT) and held a 30-minute ceremony for the 75 guests.

Afterwards there was a sunset reception to toast the couple with guests sharing luxury hors d'oeuvres, before dinner and dancing, Sky News informs.
