TV Star Nicole Richie Hospitalized for Pneumonia

Nicole Richie has been admitted to a Los Angeles hospital and is being treated for pneumonia. Her representative says she's doing well.

Publicist Nicole Perna said Wednesday the 28-year-old actress checked herself into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, The Associated Press reports.

Richie gave birth to a son, Sparrow James Midnight Madden, in September. She and her partner, rocker Joel Madden, have a daughter, Harlow, who turns 2 in January. Following an appearance in a Los Angeles court on Monday, she was granted a restraining order against two photographers she believes threaten her safety and the safety of her two kids.

The order demands that the two paparazzi, Eduardo Arrivabene and Ivon Emilio Melo Miguel, stay at least 50 yards from Richie and her family.

Miguel reportedly apologized in court and told Richie that he would no longer take pictures of her if that is what she's prefer. Richie and Madden said they would prefer that Miguel and Arrivabene not photograph them.

The photographers have agreed to abide by the terms outlined in the restraining order, which will expire in three years, according to Parade Magazine.
