The wedding of Denmark’s prince Joachim and Marie Cavallier of France is scheduled on May 24, the royal court announced Wednesday.

The couple will exchange vows at the Moegeltoender church in southern Denmark, near Joachim's residence, just north of the German border.

Joachim, who divorced Hong Kong-born Princess Alexandra in 2005, announced last month he was engaged to Cavallier, who will become Princess Marie after the wedding.

Joachim, Queen Margrethe's second son, is fourth in line to Denmark's throne after his brother, Crown Prince Frederik, and Frederik's children, Prince Christian and Princess Isabella. )
