Sir Sean Connery to receive top award

Former Bond actor Sir Sean Connery is to receive a lifetime achievement honour at the European Film Awards in Berlin on Saturday. The 75-year-old Scottish actor will collect the award in recognition of a career spanning more than 50 years.

Two French films and British movie My Summer of Love will be competing for multiple awards at the event. Cache (Hidden) has been nominated in seven categories, including best actress for Juliette Binoche.

British indie film My Summer of Love is in the running for four awards, including best film and best director for Polish-born film-maker Pawel Pawlikoswki.

Actress Nathalie Press also received a nomination for her performance as one of the two lead characters in the film about sexual awakening, reports BBC News.
