Citrus fruits boost your mobility, new research says

It's well known that friuts and vegetables are good for us, but now, researchers at the University of Manchester have found that a diet rich in orange and yelly fruits - such as Citrus friuts, can prevent arthritis.

The findings show that jusy one glass of fresyly squeezed orange juice a day could have positive effects on the joints, as well as keeping colds at bay. The researachers followed more than 2'500 subject between 1993 and 2001, assessing the occurence of arthritis affecting multiple joints.

They found that the people who had a lower average intake of Cartenoids - the pigment found in the foods - were at a higher risk of developing inflamatory diseases than those who consumed more of the substances, FemaleFirst.co.uk reports.
