Police looking for the girl - she needs a blood transfusion

The girl, who cannot be identified under a court order, has received chemotherapy, which suppresses the production of red blood cells, making blood transfusions necessary. But the girl, with the support of her parents, said she would refuse a blood transfusion because her religion forbids it, prompting B.C. child-welfare officials to intervene, reports the Globe and Mail.
