Real danger of global warming today!

Scientists using deep-sea diving robots have found the heat exchange between Earth and space is seriously out of balance - a "smoking gun" discovery that allegedly validates forecasts of &to=http:// english.pravda.ru/mailbox/22/98/387/11770_warming.html ' target=_blank>global warming.

The NASA scientists believe the findings confirm that computer models of climate change are on target and global temperatures will rise 0.6C this century, even if greenhouse gases were capped tomorrow.

And if carbon dioxide and other heat-trapping emissions continue to grow, as expected, things could spin "out of our control" as &to=http:// english.pravda.ru/main/2002/10/04/37691.html ' target=_blank>ocean levels rise.

The study, published in the journal Science, is the latest to report growing certainty about global-warming. A leading European climate scientist called it useful supporting evidence.

More than 1800 technology-packed floats, deployed in oceans around the world since 2000, are regularly diving as much as 1km undersea to take temperature and other readings, reports the Australian.

According to Web Pro News, it's an imbalance that makes for a hotter planet. An increase of about 1 degree Fahrenheit in the Earth's temperature has happened over the past century, and another 1 degree increase will likely happen this century.

"This energy imbalance is the 'smoking gun' that we have been looking for," said NASA climatologist James Hansen.
