The tenth international film festival Listopad-2003 (the fall of the leaf) will open in the Belarussian capital on Saturday.
Feature films and documentaries by CIS, Baltic, Serbian, French, Polish and Finnish directors will be presented at the festival, the organizing committee told RIA Novosti.
Films "The Return" by director Andrei Zvyagintsev /Russia/, "Anastasia Slutskaya" by Yuri Yekhov /Belarus/, "Poor, Poor Pavel" by Vitaly Melnikov /Russia/, "A Documentalist" by Arutyun Khachatryan /Armenia/, "Zone Zamfirove" by Zdravka Sotre /Serbia/, "The Constellation of the Bull" by Pyotr Todorovsky /Russia/ and "Names in Granite" by Elmo Nyuganin /Estonia, Finland/ will be shown during the festival.
Three prizes of the audience and special prizes of the Belarussian President "For the Preservation and Development of Spiritual Traditions in Cinematography" will be awarded as part of the festival.
The international film festival Listopad-2003 will close on November 28.
