Russian film Granny wins in France

The Russian film Granny, directed by Lidiya Bobrova, won Grand Prix at the 5th European Film Festival.

The film was shown at the Essonn department, situated to the south of Paris.

The festival judges recognized the artistic merits of the film, which depicts the complex relations of an old woman with her grandchildren.

Granny won the viewers Grand Prix this summer, at the traditional film meetings in Paris. The film will be distributed in France at the beginning of February next year. Moreover, the film will be also shown within the framework of the Russian Film Festival in Honfleur (Normandy).
