Washington Holocaust Museum and RF State Archives sign a cooperation agreement

On October 3, the US Holocaust Memorial Museum and the RF State Archives signed an agreement on cooperation in Washington.

Sources in the RF Embassy in the United States told RIA Novosti correspondent that the cooperation will be focused on the research of the history of Jews from the former Soviet Union during the period between 1930 and 1950, especially the fate of Russian Jewish population during the Second World War.

The sides agreed to cooperate in the process of searching and copying archive materials that contain information related to the period, and to create an electronic reference database on the subject. The Washington Holocaust Museum and the RF State Archives also agreed on joint publishing and research of archive materials, and on conducting joint scientific conferences and "round tables." Director of the RF State Archives Sergei Mironenko and Director of the Washington Holocaust Museum Sara Bloomfield signed the agreement.
