Japanese artists to perform in Russian Far East

On Wednesday the second largest city of the Khabarovsk territory, Komsomolsk-on-Amur, situated in the downstream of the Amur river, will host the first concert of the Japanese group Dakuto. The artists will present their unique art - concert and solo performance of Japanese and European music, rhythms of Asia and Africa.

The concert in Komsomolsk-on-Amur is held within the framework of the programme "Festival of Japanese culture in Russia 2003" and the forthcoming festival of Japanese art in Khabarovsk, the Japanese general consulate in Khabarovsk reported.

After the concert, the Dakuto group will leave for Khabarovsk to participate in the festival of Japanese art on Saturday and Sunday where over 100 artists of different creative groups from Japan will give 11 free concerts on outdoor stages and in the concert hall of the territory's philharmonia.
