The First Open European Championship of firemen and rescuers opens in St. Petersburg
On Thursday St. Petersburg will host the opening of the First Open European Championship of firemen and rescuers.
The Championship is organised by the international sports federation of firemen and rescuers. Organisations and teams from 25 European countries will participate in the competitions, which are scheduled for June 30th.
The First World Championship held in the Russian capital last year showed that fire and rescue sport is very popular not with professionals alone, but with ordinary people as well, especially youth.
