Moscow to hold Days of Slavonic Literature and Culture

The Days of Slavonic Writing and Culture will be held in Moscow on May 20th through June 1st.

According to the organisational committee of the festival, a communion service, which will be held in the Assumption Cathedral of the Moscow Kremlin on May 24th, will be a central event of the holy part of the festival.

Upon the end of the service a procession will leave the cathedral for the monument to Saints Cyrill and in Methodius in Slavyanskaya square. A prayer will be served at the monument to the saint brothers.

As part of the Days of Slavonic Literature and Culture scientific-practical conferences, round tables, concerts of folk groups and children's choirs and exhibitions of art will be held, theatrical performances will be staged.

On May 22nd, the All-Russian Exhibition Centre will open an inter-confessional exposition With Faith, Hope and Love into the Third Millennium.

Traditionally, a children's Orthodox pilgrimage mission across monasteries of Moscow and the Moscow region will be organised in the festival days.
