Samsung predicts foldable smartphones will conquer the world

Foldable smartphones are going to conquer the world already in the near future, Samsung Corporation said on its official website.

According to Tae Moon Roh, the head of Samsung's mobile division, no one would even pay attention to foldable smartphones three years ago.

"Very quickly, however, it became clear that this groundbreaking, flexible design fit perfectly into modern lifestyles. As a result, what was once a novelty three years ago, is now the preferred choice for millions," he wrote.

Manufacturers of foldable smartphones supplied almost ten million devices on the market in 2021, and predicted the future dominance of such models. Compared to 2020, the market of foldable smartphones has grown by almost 300 percent.

"We are reaching the moment where these foldable devices are becoming widespread and staking a bigger claim in the overall smartphone market," the company representative concluded.

The head of Samsung's mobile division also announced the coming presentation of foldable devices. According to the entrepreneur, the event that will showcase the new generation of Galaxy Fold and Galaxy Flip, will be held on August 10.

In early summer, DSCC analysts said that Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 was the most popular device among the category of foldable smartphones in the first quarter of 2022.
