Madeline Kara Neuman is the name of the girl who died of "diabetic ketoacidosis” while her parents prayed on Easter Day.

Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) is a life-threatening complication in patients with untreated diabetes mellitus. Near complete deficiency of insulin and elevated levels of certain stress hormones combine to cause DKA.

A Wisconsin prosecutor is going to file a lawsuit against the parents, who conducted a reckless homicide of their 11-year-old daughter.

The family said that their daughter last saw a doctor when she was 3 to get some shots. Thus, they ascribed their behavior to their ideology that not medicine, but God can heal.

The couple can be sentenced to 25 years of imprisonment if convicted.
