A new research suggests that frequent masturbation downs risk of developing prostate cancer.

The study was led by an Australian research team led by Graham Giles of The Cancer Council Australia. Scientists examined 1,000 men with prostate cancer and 1,250 without between the ages of 20 and 50.

Scientists stressed that those men who masturbate more than five times a week are one-third less likely to develop prostate cancer.

The study also indicated that this would be more helpful than ejaculation through sexual intercourse because intercourse can transmit diseases that may increase the risk of cancer instead. Also, frequent ejaculation is more easily obtained and sustained over time with the aid of masturbation.
