After a plane skidded 20 meters (yards) off a taxiing lane, Moscow's main international airport shut down for several hours Monday.

None of the 75 passengers and crew was injured.

The Boeing-737, arriving at Sheremetyevo Airport from the southern Russian town of Rostov-on-Don, landed normally but skidded while taxiing to the gate, spokeswoman Anna Zakharenko said.

A wet snow fell throughout the day, but she said the weather was not to blame, and crew error was the suspected cause.

The plane was operated by regional Russian carrier Aeroflot-Don.

All departures and arrivals were suspended, and several international flights were rerouted to other Moscow airports.
