President Vladimir Putin on Thursday signed an order rescinding Russia's signature of a border treaty with Estonia, the presidential press service said.
Russia and Estonia in May signed a treaty defining the border between the ex-Soviet republics. Estonia's parliament ratified the pact in June, but the ratification included a preamble making reference to Soviet occupation of Estonia. Russia said that was unacceptable and would prevent its parliament from ratifying the treaty.
