Dollar drops vs ruble again

The weighted average dollar exchange rate on tomorrow deals was 28.77 RUR/USD in the first 90 minutes of a special session this morning. Thus the official dollar rate for October 27 will be RUR0.1 lower. On the whole, the dollar has lost RUR0.35 (1.6 percent) over the past three workdays. As a result, the dollar rate has returned to the level of the beginning of this year.

Meanwhile the supply of dollars at a special session was not that considerable this morning and the Central Bank could have prevented the dollar from another drop without making great efforts. The trade volume was less than $66m at 11:30 a.m. Moscow time compared to over $245m yesterday.
