Roh Moo-hyun and Vladimir Putin issued a general declaration

President Roh Moo-hyun and &to=http://english.pravda.ru/main/18/88/353/12157_Putin.html' target=_blank>President Vladimir Putin of Russia met here yesterday, and issued a general declaration that their two countries would seek greater economic cooperation in the fields of energy, space, information and transportation technology.

After meetings at the Kremlin and at Mr. Putin's country house near Moscow, the two leaders released a joint accord that detailed 10 agreements mostly on industrial cooperation.

The leaders defined the two countries' relationship as "mutually confiding comprehensive companions." In 1994, the two countries made a declaration, which said they are "constructive and mutually reinforcing companions."

The agreement also mentioned the two countries' effort to connect the Trans-Siberia Railroad to the Trans-Korea Railroad and Russia's commitment to accept Korean members on a Russian space flight in 2007, informs Joongang Ilbo.
