Red Cross: Russian big businesses aloof from Beslan's tragedy

Large Russian businesses are still keeping out of Beslan's tragedy, the Russian Red Cross said in a statement. Previously, RBC launched an appeal to organizations and citizens to assist the injured and the families of those who died in a terrorist act in North Ossetia, the Red Cross reiterated. At present, staple commodities, clothes for children, toys, children's books, etc are needed.

According to the Russian Red Cross, the international business community, foreign citizens, Russian small and medium-sized companies and individuals, "including people who often need assistance themselves, such as pensioners, large families, disabled people" have expressed their readiness to help. It is surprising that large Russian businesses, major Russian companies, banks and enterprises are still remaining aloof, the Red Cross pointed out.
