The pre-term presidential elections for the Chechen Republic may take place on August 29. Alexander Veshniakov, Chairman of the Russian Federation Central Election Commission told this to reporters on Tuesday. According to Veshniakov, the Chechen election commission will decide on a date for the elections by the end of this week. 'As far as I know, August 29 is the fundamental date, but other dates-September 5 and August 22-are being considered' he said.
