Gov't to check regional markets of oil products

The Russian government is planning to analyze markets of oil products in regions, acting Finance Minister Alexey Kudrin declared in the Federation Council today. The Federal Anti-Monopoly Service will check the situation on regional markets since oil monopolies often divide markets and dictate prices, Kudrin noted responding to the question about an increase in oil product prices on the domestic market. The acting minister also believes that growth in oil prices on the domestic market is also due to a corresponding tendency on world markets, which makes enterprises increase their oil exports.
