Russian shares continue stepping back

After a slight increase in share prices in early trade today, Russian securities started falling. LUKoil is leading this downward movement on the RTS exchange with over a 5-percent drop. YUKOS has also lost more than 5 percent. Surgutneftegas, Norilsk Nickel and Sberbank have decreased 4 percent, RAO UES stocks have become 3 percent less expensive. The RTS index dropped 2.87 percent to 614.88 points at 2 p.m. Moscow time. Prices of highly liquid companies are declining on the Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange too. RAO UES, LUKoil and YUKOS lost 3.5 percent, 2.5 percent and 3.6 percent respectively. Surgutneftegas eased back 3 percent, while Norilsk Nickel fell almost 5 percent.
