28 documents signed after meeting of CIS Council of Premiers

Following the meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government, 28 documents on intensifying cooperation within this interstate formation in post-Soviet space were signed.

As the CIS executive committee reported, an Agreement on Introducing International Certificate of Weighing Freight Means of Transportation on the Territories of the Commonwealth States, and a decision on the results of the fulfillment of the CIS states' financial liabilities and on financing measures aimed at setting up and developing a unified system of the states' air defense were, in particular, approved at the meeting.

The first deputy and deputies of the chairman of the CIS executive committee were appointed by a decision of the Council.

Dmitry Bulakhov was appointed first deputy chairman of the executive committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States from the Republic of Belarus and executive secretary of the Commonwealth, Asan Kozhakov - deputy chairman of the CIS executive committee from the Republic of Kazakhstan, Anatoly Golovatov - from Russia, and Vladimir Fedorov - from Ukraine.

A report by the chairman of the Mir interstate TV and radio company concerning further activity of the company in the states-founders was also heard out at the meeting.

The question of the date and place of the next meeting of the Council of Heads of Government was also decided. It will be held in Kazakhstan's capital Astana on September 15.
