3 kg of heroin confiscated from drug dealer

The East Siberian transport police department has confiscated a large amount of drugs in Irkutsk, RIA Novosti learned from the Russian Interior Ministry on Sunday.

According to the agency's source, some time ago the department received information that a large amount of drugs was to be transported via Irkutsk. When inspecting a train from Moscow to Blagoveshchensk, the police detained an unemployed woman who had 3.33 kg of heroin in her luggage.

At present she is giving evidence as to where she acquired the heroin and where it was to be delivered. She will be charged with illegal drug trade.

Over the last 24 hours the police in Russia have registered 19 cases of confiscation of large amounts of drugs. They have confiscated over 30.5 kg of marijuana, about 1 kg of cannabis oil and over 300 grams of opium.
