Russia comes out against Taiwan's independence

Russia comes out against any forms of Taiwan's independence, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Saltanov told Chinese ambassador Liu Guchang in Moscow on Monday.

"Russia adheres to its principal position on Taiwan's issue that Taiwan is an integral part of China," Mr. Saltanov stressed.

The sides also discussed vital bilateral and international issues. Liu Guchang informed the Russian side on the developments in Taiwan after the so-called "presidential elections".
