Russia's Black Sea Fleet to hold exercise

On March 29 an exercise of the Black Sea Fleet will be held in the central and eastern parts of the Black Sea water area under the Commander-in-Chief of Russia's Navy, Admiral Kuroyedov. The commander of the Black Sea Fleet, Admiral Masorin, said this at the meeting with president Vladimir Putin of Russia on Saturday.

As many as 17 warships, 36 auxiliary craft, 12 aircraft and helicopters, and nearly 8,000 of personnel will participate in the exercise.

It is planned to hold a bilateral tactical exercise.

Masorin said that "a bilateral missile practice is envisaged, and it is planned to land a party on the Kerch Peninsula coast and to take other actions."
