Russian stocks might not fall

Russian stocks moved slightly at the opening. On MICEX the majority of the blue chips tumbled 0.5 percent. The preferred Surgutneftegas shares plunged 1 percent. One should not expect a downward trend today, although the most cautious market participants fixed their profits at the opening. But clear-cut upward trend seems unlikely now, as the prices will consolidate near their current level, analysts say.
