Presidential envoy to deal with Chechnya's restoration

The Russian Presidential Envoy in the South Federal District will have more responsibility for restoring Chechnya since the position of the Russian Minister for Social and Economic Development of Chechnya has been abolished, Presidential Envoy in the South Federal District Vladimir Yakovlev declared at a meeting with journalists. He noted that on March 11 he would leave for Rostov-on-Don to his new office and hold a number of meetings devoted to the development of the South Federal District. First of all Yakovlev is going to deal with the issue concerning payments of compensations and restoration of houses. In this respect he has already met with Stanislav Ilyasov, the ex-minister for social and economic development of Chechnya, and discussed the current situation in the region and outlooks for solving problems in the republic.
