Results of presidential elections to be announced by March 25

The official results of the presidential elections that are scheduled to take place on March 14 will be drawn by March 25 by the Russian Central Election Commission (CEC), Alexander Veshnyakov, the head of the commission, declared today.

He mentioned that, according to legislation, election commissions of Russian regions and republics were to prepare the results of the elections by March 18.

Veshnyakov noted that the preliminary results might be known in the morning on March 15.
