25% of Russian women earn more than husband

Russian women own more than one-third of the country's businesses, said Moscow City Public Relations Committee Chairwoman Tatiana Vasilyevna during the sixth annual assembly of Russian business leaders entitled Women - Leaders of New Russia, Social Responsibility of Business. She said 25% of Russian women in homes where both husband and wife work in earn more than their husband. Moreover, in agencies where women work there is also less corruption, said Vasilyevna. Businesswomen in science, culture and education account for 39-42% of businesses. In transportation and industry they make up 12-20%.
