Gazprom and LUKoil heads consider development of cooperation

Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller and LUKoil President Vaghit Alekperov have discussed the pace of implementation of a general agreement on strategic partnership between the companies in the period from 2002 to 2005, the press service of the Russian gas holding reported. It was decided to create a joint task force that would solve issues concerning the implementation of this agreement.

According to the press service, Miler and Alekperov paid special attention to outlooks for exploring fields in the northern part of the Caspian Sea.

As reported earlier, a general agreement between the companies was signed in November 2002. It envisages joint implementation of projects on exploring fields in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area, the Nenets Autonomous Area, and in the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea.
