Wolf Group entertainment company intends to create a 'club of singing politicians.' Yelena Demchenko, project manager, told Rosbalt 'we want Russian politicians to show their talents in other areas and reveal their human qualities to the Russian population.'
She explained that members of the government, the State Duma and the Federation Council including Vladimir Zhirinovsky, Liubov Sliska, Yuri Luzhkov as well as Alexander Rozenbaum, Iosif Kobzon and US Ambassador to Russia Alexander Vershbow have been invited to the presentation of the project on February 24. She said that after a careful selection process only about 100 people will take part in the project. 'We will concentrate on bard music and folk songs,' Ms Demchenko stressed. There are also plans to release a compact disc.
The politicians will also have a chance to sing with Russian stars such as Larisa Dolina and Nikolai Baskov. There are also plans to form a 'club of singing sportsmen' and a 'club of singing businessmen' in the near future.
