RTS index adds 5.28% over week

On December 15 to 19, the RTS index grew by 5.28 percent to 569.59 points. According to the RTS press service, within this time span Sibneft stepped up 15.83 percent to $3 per share of common stock, YUKOS rose by 13.09 percent to $10.8 per share, and Svyazinform surged 11.86 percent to $1.65 per share of preferred stock.

In the reported period, the RTS daily average trading volume dropped 11 percent to $22.885m. The aggregate trading volume amounted to $114.423m against $102.636m as of December 5 to 11. YUKOS, RAO UES and LUKoil were the most traded stocks on the RTS.
