Prince Michael of Kent becomes knight of Russia's Glory order

Prince Michael of Kent became the knight of the international public order "Russia's Glory" - "for the outstanding contribution to the development of Russian-British business cooperation and selfless charity assistance to Russian children." The awarding ceremony took place at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow on Tuesday.

"I have followed the events in Russia with great pleasure over the last ten years. I deeply believe in the future of your country," the prince said in the Russian language.

"I will try to take all efforts to promote Russian-British interests in the future," said the member of the British royal family.

The order "Russia's Glory" was established in 1999 by the museum and exhibition center "The History of Russian Enterprise" in order to revive glorious traditions of Russian business. The order is a four-point golden cross with a woman's figure "Russia's Glory" by sculptor Bohumil Kafka.
