Russia will not seek the prolongation of Russian-US agreements on steel trade, Russian Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Maxim Medvedkov announced today, according to Echo of Moscow radio. He reiterated that the agreements expired this year. "We presume that these agreements will die within the procedures we have today", Medvedkov said. According to him, this will provide Russian exporters with extra opportunities, but they must understand that this will raise the chances of imposing new restrictions too.
