New analytical digest published about Russia's 'Eastern Strategy'

A new edition of the Russian Expert Review has been released in Saint Petersburg. As Rosbalt was informed by one of the participants in the project, this time the digest is devoted to Russia's Eastern strategy, the future integration of countries in the north-east of Asia and the economic interests of Russia and Asia. As well as a brief assessment and description of the problems, the digest also includes 7 articles about Russia's relations with member-states of APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation), Russia's potential for using Chinese experience, energy distribution etc: Expert analysis has been given in the digest.

The digest is published by the North-West centre for strategic research. The main aim of the digest is to 'expand and renew research into Russia by providing objective information to foreign experts on projects carried out by Russian and international research organizations.' The digest is published once a month on the website www.rusrev.org in English and Russian. It contains news from research centres, an overview of key material and interviews with experts.

The North-West strategic research centre is an independent institute for strategic planning. It was founded in Saint Petersburg in 2000.
