YUKOS' new chief disavows jailed predecessor

Mikhail Khodorkovsky has nothing more to do with YUKOS as a manager, YUKOS new CEO Semyon Kukes said in an interview with the BBC. "If a stockholder has problems with the government, this is his personal problem", Kukes emphasized. The executive added that Khodorkovsky's case should be decided by court.

As reported earlier, Kukes confirmed the fact that Khodorkovsky, who is now in a Moscow pretrial detention isolation ward, owned about 40 percent in YUKOS and he might take part in the voting at the annual general meeting to be held on November 28. The meeting will focus on details of the ongoing merger between YUKOS and Sibneft.
