Negotiations on Tuzla island end in stalemate

A joint Russian-Ukrainian government committee has been unable to resolve the two countries' territorial row. As a Rosbalt correspondent reports, the two sides did not reach an agreement about the border along the bed of the Azov Sea. Deputy Ukrainian Foreign Minister Alexander Motsak said Ukraine will not allow its interests in the region to be manipulated in any way.

However, the Russian side expressed the hope that a diplomatic solution to the problem of the dam at Kerch bay will be found soon. It is expected that the committee will meet once a month until the issue is resolved.
