YUKOS shareholders deny asking political asylum in UK

No employees of MENATEP, a partner and shareholder of YUKOS, have applied for political asylum in Great Britain, MENATEP Public Relations Director Yury Kotlyar told RBC. He noted that they had contacted their office in London and received information that no one made such attempts. Thus, he rejected information of some mass media source that had reported earlier that seven members at the MENATEP office in London asked for political asylum in the UK.
