UES board of directors does not discuss appointment of Voloshin as its chairman

The session of the "UES Rossii" board of directors scheduled for Friday will not discuss Alexander Voloshin's appointment as its chairman on a staff basis, the company's competent source told RIA Novosti.

The issue of Voloshin's appointment is not on the agenda of the board of directors session. No decision may be taken today since state representatives in the UES have not received any directive. Without the directive they will not be able to make any decision. These representatives constitute the majority of the company's members. That is why the board of directors can't make a decision concerning the holding as a whole," the source pointed out.

Another high-placed source at "UES Rossii" refuted reports by some media that the holding's CEO, Anatoly Chubais had already proposed Alexander Voloshin be appointed to the post on a staff basis.

"Chubais did not offer to Voloshin the work on a staff basis," the high-ranking source said.

On Thursday, the press secretary of the head of state, Alexei Gromov, reported that Vladimir Putin by his decree dismissed Alexander Voloshin from the post of chief of the presidential administration.
