RTS index down 13.99%

The RTS index dropped 13.99 percent to 511.71 points as of 15:20 Moscow time against the closing last Friday. RAO UES and LUKoil lost 14.19 and 11.68 percent respectively, Rostelecom plummeted 14.63 percent, YUKOS fell by 21.64 percent, Surgutneftegas stepped back by 12.59 percent, Sberbank went down 10.75 percent, Mosenergo decreased by 12.33 percent, Norilsk Nickel, Tatneft and Sibneft were down 11.24, 11.49 and 19.3 percent respectively. The RTS index retreated 5.2 percent against the opening.

It has been decided not to halt trade on YUKOS shares for the second time since they lost 2.5 percent against the opening.
