Gazprom continues to increase exports of natural gas to Western and Central Europe

Gazprom plans to export a total of 140 billion cubic meters of gas or six billion cubic meters more than in 2003 to non-CIS countries, said the Gazprom press service yesterday. This was also confirmed by Gazprom Chairman Alexei Miller in his report on the yearly gas balance for 2004. The report says that Gazprom will excavate 542 billion cubic meters of natural gas in 2004. So far in 2003 the natural gas company has excavated 530 billion cubic meters of natural gas. As reported earlier, Gazprom plans to export 145 billion cubic meters of natural gas annually to Western and Central Europe by 2005, increasing exports to 195 cubic meters by 2010. In 2002 the company exported a total of 127 billion cubic meters of gas to those regions.
