The Gorky Automobile Plant (GAZ) will take part in the first presentation of Russian auto manufacturers in post-Taliban Afghanistan, to take place October 11-15, reports the plant's press service.
The presentation of Russian manufacturers in Kabul is held on the initiative of Russia's Foreign Ministry, Commerce and Industry Chamber and the All-Russian investment forum under the RF government.
GAZ will provide information on its activities, and show in the form of films, slides and catalogs the vehicles people are already familiar with as well as new ones.
The press service said GAZ vehicles, which are known for reliability, simplicity and all-road capability, would interest representatives of Afghan business circles, all the more so as in the postwar period the country's government made restoration of its car and truck fleet and transport infrastructure a priority task.
