First Polish visas issued to Russian citizens

The Polish consulate in Kaliningrad began issuing visas to residents of the Kaliningrad Region yesterday. This is a result of Poland's decision to introduce visa regulations for Russian citizens from October 1. As a Rosbalt correspondent was informed by Grzegorz Marcek, a consulate employee, the consulate is issuing free multi-entry visas which are valid for a period of one year. The visas only take five days to prepare although in urgent situations, such as the death or illness of a relative, the Polish side is willing to prepare visas within two days or even several hours.
