Speaking at the 3rd Congress of the United Russia party on Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated he did not regret that he had voted for the United Russia during parliamentary elections four years ago. "I believe it was the right decision. And I do not regret it," the Russian President said.
"During this period, your party proved that it had not been created for the sake of achieving immediate short-term goals, but to conduct far-reaching and effective work," the Russian leader emphasized.
"It was the United Russia that became the uniting force, which allowed the creation of a strong bloc of centrist fractions in the State Duma," Mr. Putin pointed out. "You were the ones who consistently fought for adoption of major legislative documents in Russia," said the President addressing the delegates of the Congress.
"The elections day is near, and in December Russian citizens will cast their votes and give the final evaluation to each party and each candidate," said Vladimir Putin.
The head of the Russian State wished the delegates of the Congress and the entire party success during the upcoming elections.
